Amazing Christmas Hacks | Queen of Clean
Christmas gift wrapping

Do you want your Christmas to run smoother than ever? I've put together my favourite festive hacks to save you time, stress, and even a few scratches!

Wrapping & Prep Hacks

Ironing Board Hack

Set up your ironing board at a comfortable height to avoid back ache while wrapping. It makes the perfect adjustable wrapping station!

Fake Tree Tip

Pop on rubber gloves when fluffing your fake tree to protect your arms from scratches.

Wrapping Storage

Use a wrapping storage bag to keep paper, scissors, tags, and ribbons all in one place. Use toilet paper tubes to stop rolls from unravelling!

Sharpen Scissors

Cut through kitchen foil to clean blades and remove burs, improving your scissors' performance for all those gifts.

TANGLE-FREE LIGHTS: Wrap your Christmas lights around a coat hanger or a wrapping paper tube before storing. No more "Elf" blame next year!

Festive Home Hacks

Smells Like Christmas

Seal cards in a bag with cotton balls dipped in peppermint or evergreen oils overnight. They'll smell festive for up to two weeks!

Glitter Cleanup

Use an old pair of tights over your vacuum nozzle, or rub a balloon on your hair to use static electricity to pick up every sparkle.

The Needle Solution

Forget the vacuum for stray pine needles! Wrap duct tape around your hand (sticky side out) to lift them easily from the carpet.

Silver Polish

Soak silverware in warm water with bicarbonate of soda and salt for 15 minutes, then buff with a lint-free cloth.

Gift & Table Ideas

Sock Wrapped Wine

Pop a bottle in a festive fluffy sock and tie the second sock around the neck like a scarf. Two presents in one!

Family Photo Tags

Use family photos instead of gift tags. It adds a personal touch and makes it easy to see who each gift is for.

Christmas Day Box

Keep a box with batteries, screwdrivers, and bin bags handy so you can open toys and clear mess instantly.

Cork Place Settings

Slit a wine cork along the side and slide in a name card for a quick and sustainable table setting.

BURNT PANS? Add a used tea bag and warm water to your dirty pans while you eat dinner. The burnt bits will lift away without scrubbing!
