Cleaning your home can be expensive, but it’s not always necessary to buy all of these products and spend lots of money. Cleaning with natural home made products saves time, space and money!

Smart Shopping Tips

Buy in Bulk

Buy in large quantities from wholesale stores or Amazon. If you get together with some friends, you can buy a bulk order and split it between you!

Refill & Save

Lots of products can now be bought as refill packs. These save you money in the long run and are better for the environment. Use a glass spray bottle for your homemade mixes.

A Few of My Favourite Staples

White Vinegar

A natural disinfectant fantastic at killing germs and mould. I like to run 100ml through my washing machine every couple of weeks. Buy white vinegar in bulk and pop into spray bottles for the cheapest way to clean.

Bicarbonate of Soda

Great for eliminating odours in the fridge or freshening up carpets. Mixed with white vinegar, it’s a powerful drain cleaner. You can find large bags of bicarbonate of soda online.

LEMON HACK: Put lemon halves in a bowl of cold water in the microwave on full power for 5 minutes. The steam releases grease for an easy wipe-down with a microfibre cloth!

Surprising Cupboard Essentials

  • White Toothpaste: Great for cleaning white rubber trims on trainers, car headlights, and making jewellery sparkle.
  • Alcohol: Cheap Vodka or rubbing alcohol is perfect for frost-free windows and removing pen marks.
  • Essential Oils: Mix Tea Tree or Peppermint oils with water for a natural scent.

Invest to Save
