Warming Tomato Dhal
A fragrant, protein-packed Vegan and Vegetarian dish serving 4 people—the ultimate comfort bowl for any evening!
How to make

Sauté the Base
Heat a little oil in a large pan. Sauté the onion, garlic, and grated ginger for 5 minutes until soft and fragrant.

Toast the Spices
Stir in the turmeric, cumin, and chilli flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes to let the spices release their amazing aromas.

Simmer the Dhal
Add the lentils, tin of tomatoes, and coconut milk. Stir in 200ml of water or veg stock. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for 20 minutes until the lentils are tender and creamy.

Season & Serve
Taste and add salt and pepper. Serve in warm bowls with a dollop of yogurt (or vegan alternative) and fresh coriander. Perfect with a warm naan!
