Simple shaving foam hacks
I love a good simple cleaning hack! I’ll never forget the day I discovered that white shaving foam is an amazing cleaner. I dropped a new mascara on new carpet and quickly dashed to the bathroom for the nearest soap-like product—the results were amazing!
The humble can of white shaving foam is a fantastic, cheap cleaner—especially if you stick to supermarket own-brands. Make sure you keep a can in your cleaning caddy!
Brighten Tile Grout
Squirt foam into grout lines and scrub with a recycled toothbrush. Leave for a few minutes, then wipe clean. It’s perfectly safe for children and pets!
Fog-Free Mirrors
Cover your mirror with cream, leave for 30 seconds, and wipe with a microfibre cloth. This stops fogging and prevents streaks.
Carpet & Upholstery
Spray foam on stains, scrub with a soft brush, let dry, and blot with a white cloth. Great for car seats and mattresses too!
Stainless Steel & Chrome
Apply foam to a clean cloth to polish fixtures and appliances. It’s brilliant at removing hard water stains and leaving an amazing shine.
Deeper Cleaning Wins
Clean Up the Toilet Base
Urine build-up can create unpleasant odours around the base of the toilet. Simply cover the floor area and the sides of the toilet with white shaving foam. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, then wipe away with a hot wet cloth or mop. The smell will completely disappear!
Make Jewellery Sparkle
Shaving cream is effective yet gentle. Pump a dollop into your hand and rub your jewellery around to restore its shine.
Oil Stains From Suede
To treat unsightly oil stains on suede furniture, coats or handbags, apply a small amount of shaving cream, rub it in, and then wipe it clean. You may need to fluff up the nap after the suede dries.
