Save time with these savvy cleaning hacks

The 15 Minute Clean | Queen of Clean
15 Minute Clean setup

When life is busy with work, childcare, and home admin, finding time for housework is hard! I devised my 15 minute clean method when I was alone with the twins, and it has never failed me. Here is how you can simplify your routine and get your house spotless in no time.

The Timer Trick

Break your cleaning into 5-minute chunks per room. Tackle three rooms in one 15-minute go. Do one chunk in the morning and one in the evening—you’ll be amazed at how much you achieve when you turn off distractions!

Bathroom Head-Start

Spray the bath and sink and leave for 10 minutes while you get dressed or tidy the bedroom. Letting the product work means the germs are gone and the rinsing is effortless.

PRO TIP: Slow your washing machine spin speed to 800 rpm! This reduces creases significantly, meaning you spend much less time behind the ironing board.

Laundry & Linens

Bedding Hack

Store matching pillowcases inside their duvet covers. This keeps sets together, saves space in the linen cupboard, and makes "grab and go" bed changes a breeze.

Smart Washing

Use the quick-wash setting for lightly soiled items. Modern machines are advanced enough to get the job done faster without damaging your clothes at high temperatures.

Kitchen & Windows

Fridge Organisation

Use fridge trays! You can whip out one tray to clean and put it back in seconds. Line veg drawers with kitchen roll to soak up juices and keep things fresh.

Streak-Free Windows

Never clean windows on a sunny day—the product dries too fast and causes streaks. Use warm soapy water and a white vinegar spray for the perfect shine.

Fresh Finishing Touches

  • Blinds: Use a dry sock on your hand to dust slats. Avoid water to prevent marks!
  • Smelly Bins: Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda mixed with essential oils into the base to keep odours at bay.
